Speakers Bios

Allison Boulton
Regional Representative for British Columbia, Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada

Allison is a seasoned trade professional with deep experience in the export of processed Canadian agrifoods with a focus on Asia. Her role as the Vancouver based TFO Regional Representative for British Columbia has her working across sectors to promote trade, and increase the knowledge of exporters and Trade Support Institutions around the globe.

Allison spent a decade in Canada’s wine industry, building a thriving boutique Canadian winery with exports to over 20 countries. Allison relocated to China and the Middle East to earn her MBA and work as the China Director of Marketing and Trade Sales in the beverage industry. Upon returning to Canada, she worked as an International Trade Advisor with Small Business BC and started her own firm assisting entrepreneurs grow globally.

Throughout her career, Allison has shared her extensive knowledge in cross-border trade, international sales and cross-cultural communications with audiences around the world, and continues to contribute to supporting SMEs as a writer, mentor and speaker.

Ghazaleh Nekui
Business Advisor, Trade Accelerator Program - World Trade Centre Vancouver

Ghazaleh Nekui is the Business Advisor of the Trade Accelerator Program. Armed with an MBA in International Marketing from the American University in Dubai and specialized expertise in Digital Marketing from BCIT, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. With a rich background of living and working in various countries, she has cultivated over 16 years of international expertise. In addition to her current role, she has empowered numerous small businesses through strategic business development, comprehensive market research, and skillful operations and project management. Furthermore, she holds a distinguished degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Additionally, Ghazaleh brings valuable teaching experience as an adjunct professor, conducting engaging workshops and training sessions for students. As a dedicated business advisor, she has provided guidance and mentorship to over 100 BC-based companies in their international expansion endeavours. Currently, she is pursuing the esteemed CITP designation through FITT's certified program, further enhancing her expertise and professional credentials in global trade.
